Proof of re-stake: a game changer?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been diving into Proof of Re-stake (PoR) lately, and it’s got me thinking about how it could reshape blockchain security and decentralization. The idea is pretty interesting—validators can re-stake assets across multiple networks, essentially “reusing” security rather than fragmenting it.

One of the biggest benefits seems to be enhanced security without needing a ton of extra capital. Instead of locking up more tokens for every new chain, PoR lets validators leverage existing stakes, making networks more secure and interconnected. But I can’t help but wonder—does this introduce new risks? Could centralization creep in if the same validators dominate multiple chains?

It feels like a natural evolution of staking, especially with protocols like EigenLayer pushing the concept forward. Has anyone here experimented with PoR-based projects yet? Curious to hear thoughts—do you see this as the future of blockchain security or just another passing trend?

Let’s discuss! :rocket:
