Intent-Centric Architectures and the Future of Web3 Applications

Hey everyone,

I’ve been reading more about intent-centric architectures lately and wondering how they might fit into our ecosystem. The idea is to move away from low-level transaction-based interactions and toward systems where users define what they “want” to happen, and the protocol figures out how to make it happen. It’s like giving your intent to a smart assistant that handles the complexity behind the scenes.

This could have a huge impact on user experience. Right now, even relatively simple actions like swapping tokens across chains or interacting with a yield farm often involve multiple manual steps and a good understanding of gas fees, approvals, and transaction sequencing. With an intent-based model, the user might just say “I want to earn yield on my assets” and the backend would route the request through the most efficient path, possibly using cross-chain messaging, aggregators, or DeFi protocols to do it.

For projects building on Unit Zero, this approach could open the door to much more intuitive interfaces and better onboarding for non-technical users. Curious to hear if anyone else has explored this, or if any existing tooling could help bring intent-based design into the Units ecosystem. Are there use cases you think would particularly benefit from this model?
